The top windows 11 features that will change how you use your PC

Microsoft finally made a significant upgrade to their Windows Operating System ever since 2015 when they launched Windows 10 from the controversial Windows 8 that many users complained about. The new Windows 11, which Microsoft released in early October, was well-received by the Pc community thanks to the many new handy features it comes with.

In this article, I will discuss some of the best features that will likely change how your PC on a day-to-day basis. Let’s dive in!

  1. The start menu

Microsoft has redesigned the startup menu in Windows 11 to make it more usable than ever before. It is one of the best features that you will notice the first time you launch Windows 11 on your machine. This menu is now located at the center of the menu bar instead of the bottom left like it was in Windows 10.

However, an option in settings allows you to take it back to the bottom left corner. The new start menu now has your pinned apps and recommends apps determined based on your recent activity. This makes it easier to access your favorite apps that may not be pinned on the tasks bar.

  1. Natively installing Android apps

In the previous versions of Windows, running Android apps was only possible through using an Android app emulator such as Bluestacks. However, with Windows 11, you can now install your favorite Android apps without having to install any third-party software on your machine.

You can install these apps through the Amazon app store that is integrated right into the Microsoft store. You will need to have an Amazon account to download any Android applications in the Amazon app store. However, there is the sideloading option if you have the apk files of the Android app. If you have an Android device, you can easily extract these apk files from your phone using apps like Xender.

  1. Usable Widgets

Windows 11 now has Widgets that will help you get information much faster than previous versions. You can pin your favorite widgets on the tasks task. Each of the widgets you pin has an AI-generated feed that will give you the latest information such as weather, stocks, traffic, calendar events, and many more.

Most of the currently available widgets are Windows built-in apps, but we expect third-party app developers to roll out their soon.

  1. UI is more touchscreen-friendly

There are lots of touchscreen devices out there that run Windows. Windows 11 has made touch inputs easier than ever before, thanks to the larger icons than in previous visions of Windows. These touch controls will even become more intuitive if you switch to tablet mode.

  1. Better virtual desktop implementation

If you are the kind of person who loves to use different desktops at various times of the day, Windows 11 will now make it a lot easier for you. You create and customize each of your desktops just like it is on macOS.
