Oppo’s upcoming Find X5 Pro flagship leaks in photos and specs

Smartphone maker Oppo is getting near the reveal of its next flagship. However, thanks to a leak picked up by WinFuture, we can now see the phone in all its glory before the official release.

Oppo, the Chinese brand that took the world by storm by offering high-end specs at not-so-high-end prices, will soon release its next flagship. Purportedly named the Find X5 Pro, WinFuture has got its hands on pictures of the device, including the specifications.

The Find X5 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor offering 3.0 gigahertz maximum clock speed and a combination of an ARM Cortex-X2 ultra-high-end core, three ARM Cortex-A710 and four Cortex-A510 cores. This is integrated with a 5G modem and supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC.

The chip is paired with a Qualcomm Adreno 730 graphics chip. The RAM is 12 GB, while internal storage is 256 GB with no option for expansion with SD cards.

The new flagship sports a 6.7 inch AMOLED display with curved edges. The screen has a 3216 x 1440px resolution with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus helps to prevent accidentally shattering the screen. And like many modern flagships, the fingerprint is placed under the screen.

Battery capacity could amount to 5,000 mAH and most likely has 80 W fast-charging onboard. It also charges wirelessly.

On the back, the Find X5 Pro has a three-camera system, including a 50 MP 80 degrees primary lens, another 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 13 MP telephoto lens. The camera bump has an inscription that says “Powered by MariSilicon X,” a reference to the company’s in-house NPU that processes images. The selfie camera may turn out to be a 32 MP shooter.

The back also proudly bears Hasselbad’s logo, belonging to the company that helped develop the camera system.

The Find X5 Pro case has an IP68 certification, meaning it is waterproof and dustproof. However, dumping the device in water is not advisable or exposing it to other extreme conditions.

Color options include Ceramic Black and Ceramic White. However, there is no ceramic material to be found here as the body is made from glass and aluminum. Also, the phone will not lie flat on surfaces due to the camera bump, although most users are already used to that.

The Oppo Find X5 Pro boasts dual speakers with surround sound enabled with Dolby Atmos tech.

This device will launch with Android 12, although Oppo will slap its ColorOS version 12.1 on top.

Prices have not been confirmed yet for the Oppo Find X5 Pro, but WinFuture assumes it will be close to $1,400. Availability in Europe is a certainty, with launch slated for Germany in a few weeks.
