HMD Global owned brand Nokia has launched an Android tablet in the U.S. and U.K. today. The company has given it the name Nokia T20. The Nokia T20 tablet is the first tablet launched by Nokia since its acquisition by HMD Global. The last tablet launched under the Nokia brand was Nokia N1 that was launched way back in 2014. Shedding a light on the highlights of the Nokia T20, It packs a 2K display, a huge 8200mAh battery, 2 years of updates, and an affordable price tag. Here in this article, I have explained everything about the newly launched Nokia T20 tablet.
Right off the bat, the Nokia T20 comes with a 10.4-inch 2K (1200×2000) Display. Considering the price at which this tablet has launched the addition of a 2K Display sounds interesting. In terms of design, the Nokia T20 has a squarish design similar to the likes of iPad Air and iPad Pro. We haven’t held the tablet in our hands yet but looking at the press render design looks premium. It will be only available in a single Ocean Blue colour.
On the performance front, Nokia T20 is powered by Unisoc Tiger T610 SoC. It is a fairy-capable chip in its segment but doesn’t expect groundbreaking performance. Coupling with it is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Coming to the software, Nokia smartphones come with a pure Stock Android experience and so will be their tablets. The T20 comes with Android 11 and the company promises 2 years of OS upgrades and an additional year of security updates. As per the past track record of Nokia, the promise sounds quite realistic.
Optics wise Nokia T20 has an 8MP rear camera with a LED flash. On the front, It features a 5MP sensor which is present on one of the landscape sides. It means users will have to use the tablet in landscape scope while using it. To use all the features day-long Nokia has added a big 8200mAh battery with the support for 15W charging. It has a USB-C charging port and the retail box comes with the charging brick and Type-C cable.
As per the pricing and availability the Nokia T20 is launched in two markets as of now the U.S and U.K. In the U.S, it is priced at $249.99 and will be available starting 17th November. Whereas in the U.K. it is available starting today. The price is Euro 179.99 for the Wi-Fi variant and Euro 199.99 for the LTE variant. The company has also launched two cases Flip and rugged and those are available separately. The Flip Case is priced at $39.99/Euro 39.99 and the rugged case will cost $59.99/Euro 49.99. So, this is all about the newly launched Nokia T20 tablet.
In my opinion, it is the right time for launching a tablet. Due to pandemics, online education is booming. Students are purchasing tablets for their online study. Getting an option from Nokia at such an affordable price means a lot of students will prefer them over iPads. What do you think about this new Android tablet from Nokia?
