Apple Announces October 18 Event New MacBooks Expected

It was just last month when the Apple September event took place where the company announced iPhone 13 Series, two new iPads, and Apple Watch Series 7. And now within a month, Apple has sent media invites for a new event on 18th October. The Apple event page has been updated with the banner of the launch event.

Most of the Apple events after the outbreak of COVID-19 are online and there will be no change for the October 18th event as well. The event will start at 10 P.M. PDT and one can watch it online at or on the Apple TV app. It will also be streamed on the Apple official YouTube channel.

As per the rumours, Apple is most likely to launch new MacBooks. Just before the announcement Apple 16-inch MacBooks that are powered by Intel chips were out of stock in most of the stores. It was indicating nothing but the company clearing stocks for those models. The Cupertino giant is on a way to upgrade the complete Mac lineup to Apple Silicon.

Last year in November Apple unveiled the M1 chip and announced three Mac products powered by it. Those three models were MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13-inch, and Mac Mini. It’s been almost a year since that event and when Apple has already unveiled new iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watch last month. It is almost confirmed that the October 18th event is for announcing MacBooks.

The next Mac to get the taste of Apple Silicon is going to be MacBook Pro 16-inch. It is sort of confirmed as the other two MacBooks have already got the M1 chip. Some rumours are also suggesting we might see a 14-inch MacBook Pro for the very first time. These new MacBooks will eventually get the second generation of Apple Silicon. It might be called Apple M2 chip or M1X depending upon the power it packs.

Apple usually launches a slew of products at every event so there might be other products getting launched as well. The company might launch a successor to the Intel-based Mac Pro but chances are low as it might take a few more years for the company to build such a powerful Apple Silicon that can succeed the current Mac Pro.

Other than the Mac, Apple AirPod has been long due for an upgrade. Both AirPods 2nd Gen. and AirPods Pro are a couple of years old now. We have been getting tons of rumours about both of these products. Most probably Apple will upgrade one of the models. The Standard Airpod might get a design overhaul to look more like the AirPods Pro. It is also rumoured that it will get an Active noise cancellation feature.

In case AirPods Pro got a successor then we might see a refreshed design with even greater Noise cancellation and better battery life. The event is not so far away it is less than a week away from now. What you are expecting from the Apple October 18th event. Do let us know in the comments.
